Close Call

So it's the Wednesday day before the book party on Friday and I get a phone call from the trucking company. Thinking they're trying to schedule a delivery time I excitedly answer my phone - only to find out that the truck carrying 10 boxes of books had jack knifed somewhere outside Salt Lake City.

After a minor panic attack we figure out that a freight company can get 8 of the boxes to Portland by Friday morning. They arrive but several of them are damaged and we don't accept delivery of 4 boxes. But at least we have 4 boxes that are okay - and we have books for a book party. Phew.
